The latest update that we have from the developers via a Councillor is as follows; nothing is progressing in the immediate future :
‘Final receipt of the planning consent last week was very welcome, however the commencement of work is not planned in the short-term as a recent reappraisal of the project has shown the returns initially anticipated will be difficult to realise – mainly due to increased build costs. We still have ambitions to undertake the redevelopment but I cannot provide a firm date for the commencement of works at this time while we assess all options. We will not be proactively engaging any stakeholders until we are in a position to do so.’
